The Importance of Finding a Gym Routine That You Actually LOVE
Have you or know someone who started a diet or a gym routine that is completely unsustainable and about 6 month later, they have reverted back to their old ways? Finding a sustainable routine is something that will make you more successful in the long run. For years, we have learned about kick starting our bodies into a diet or exercise routine. The truth is, this just simply isn’t necessary.
If you know in a few weeks or months time, you will not be doing what you are doing now, it is time to switch it up. If you are lucky enough to live in an area with multiple gyms, ask for a day pass. Day passes are often FREE and will allow you to experience a workout with no commitment. It truly is a win, win for everyone involved. The gym will be able to introduce you to everything they offer and you’ll be able to see if it peaks your interest.
Finding a routine that you love is super important. Whether you end up loving the stretch that yoga offers or the intensity of a kickboxing class, it does not matter. As long as you are happy to be moving you will most likely be able to maintain your routine.
In terms of nutrition, exercise is important. Movement and exercise will help improve mood, your ability to pay attention, help clear up skin impurities and can improve digestion. That being said, if you dread the exercise routine you are doing, the reward is not always worth the effort and that leads to the path of falling off the wagon.
