My Philosophy
My passion for fitness and nutrition and my desire to combine my two loves led me to where I am today. Being in the fitness world as a college athlete, regular gym goer and nutrition professional, I have the seen first hand the detrimental effects of bad nutrition advice. What is being promoted is often a quick fix with no long-term benefits. These approaches are often filled with a process that lacks research, a diet of calories and nutrient restriction and often leads to a feeling of frustration and a feeling of not being able to make the changes necessary by the client. I want to fix this ideology and create a place where people can feel empowered to live with food freedom and know they can maintain their health.
With a MS in Nutrition and Dietetics and a passion for helping people find food freedom in their lives. Fad diets have been around for ages and time and time again consistently fail people. This type of restrictive dieting leads to a yo-yo effect of their weight which is very detrimental to their health. Restricting food and limiting calories is not a sustainable way to live life and will not lead to the changes people want to see in themselves.
I do not believe depending on smoothies, fat burning pills, tummy slimming devices, excessive exercising or limiting calories is a way to live life to the fullest. Creating a balance in life, an approach that is sustainable in the long-term is most important. A plan that allows you to live without guilt over food and without losing sight of a healthy life is something I want everyone to achieve.
